Answers with sources, from your contracts

jade indexes a company's documents on the PC or the server and answers while citing its sources. The documents do not leave the machine, but the question and short excerpts do go to the inference server you configure.

Question: How long do we keep supplier invoices?

  • [1] Supplier invoices are kept for ten years, counted from the end of the financial year.
  • [2] A scanned copy replaces the paper invoice once the scan is checked and dated.

jade itself answers in French only. Its sources panel lists these excerpts and a click opens the file; the highlight in the document is shown for this demo.

How it works

From a folder to an answer you can check.

  1. Install

    Run the installer as administrator and give it the address of your inference server.

  2. Add your folders

    In the settings, add the folders or network drives to index.

  3. Ask

    In French, on your documents, on the web, or to create a file.

  4. Check

    Open the numbered sources, and read the log of every outbound call.

Limits

Read this before you install it.

  • Windows 10 and 11 only

    x64. There is no macOS or Linux build or installer.

  • French only

    The interface and the answers are in French.

  • An inference server is required

    Without a reachable server, jade cannot answer.

  • Excerpts leave the PC

    The question and short excerpts go out by design, in clear inside HTTPS. Trust that server as you trust the document store.

  • Unsigned, and you build it

    There is no GitHub release. You compile the installer yourself, it is not code-signed, and SmartScreen shows an unknown publisher.

What it does not do

Build jade

There is no published installer. The steps and the prerequisites are on the download page and in the docs.

$ cd flutter_app && flutter build windows --release && cd ..
$ python -m PyInstaller jade.spec --noconfirm
